80th Annual Meeting of the German Geophysical Society in Munich

Next spring will take place from 23-26. March in Munich the 80th Annual Meeting of the German Geophysical Society will take place. The conference offers a forum for the presentation of current research results from all areas and on all topics of geophysics. A key topic with a local connection will be geothermal energy. Contributions to a wide range of questions on fluid-mechanical processes, the reaction of the rock matrix on short and long time scales, the influence of the production parameters, up to the quantification of possible induced seismicity can be expected here. Following the conference, a joint SEG and DGG workshop on “Geophysical Exploration from Fossil to Geothermal Reservoirs” will also take place on Friday, March 27th. Details will be published on the conference website. The scientific program is in turn enriched by the appearances of numerous companies and exhibitors who have the opportunity to present their products and developments as well as their own company presence to a wide audience.
