From September 9th to 13th, Geothermie-Allianz Bayern had the privilege of hosting a workshop with two incredible leaders from Fervo Energy: Co-Founder & CTO Jack Norbeck and VP of Operations Christian Gradl, who traveled all the way from the USA to Munich to share with us the story of their success.
Fervo Energy is pioneering the next generation of geothermal energy solutions, and we were thrilled to learn from their groundbreaking projects, Fervo Red and Fervo Cape. The insights shared during the workshop have opened up new possibilities for the future of geothermal development here in Germany. We were also grateful for the valuable insights from Andre El-Alfy, Drilling Manager of Geo-Energie Suisse, who is currently working on the Haute-Sorne Enhanced Geothermal Project in Switzerland. His input provided a deeper understanding of the European-specific challenges faced by such projects.
We hope this exchange will serve as a stepping stone for continued collaboration and the initiation of next-generation geothermal projects in Germany.
